5.2.1 What is a data set
A dataset is a set of information entered for a given period:
Resources used for the production of a production: work groups, purchases, services, etc. → Over the total duration of the production (6 months, 18 months, 3 years, etc.).
Studio activities: energy, business travel, equipment, staff catering, etc. → Over a full calendar year, from 1 January to 31 December.
Several datasets can coexist, making it possible to model different scenarios and compare results. However, only one dataset can be active for a single time-period (see Main version).
5.2.2 Create a dataset
You can create a dataset:
- from a studio (see the Studio management section)
- from a production (see the Production management section)
Use the [+ New dataset] button on the relevant page.
A form then opens, allowing you to enter the activity data
5.2.3 Managing dataset
Using the 3-dots menu ⋮ associated with each dataset, you can :
- rename, edit, or delete
- duplicate: to copy the content to another version (useful for moving from Forecast to Actual)
- mark as In Progress or Completed – for studios
- mark as In Progress or Delivered – for works
- mark as Main version – for studios and works – can also be enabled using the small flag.
- When several datasets coexist, it is essential to designate one as the “Main version”.
This one will be the only one taken into account in consolidated calculations.
